Brad Keselowski Punches Ticket to NASCAR Playoffs with Atlanta Win

Lapped cars prevented Keselowski from challenging Busch in the closing laps. Stewart-Haas has been that for me.

The only person that could stop Harvick, as it turned out, was Harvick.

"You take advantage of the opportunities when they come", he said. After celebrating in victory lane and a brief stop in the media center, he hustled back to pit road for the Truck Series race.

"That's the kind of thing that makes the difference". "I was just pushing it too hard".

Kyle Larson took over the lead on the race's final restart after the 4 team's penalty.

The last part is the most puzzling for Harvick. It was his first Top-5 finish of the season. The common theme? None of those laps have been the last one.

"I had a great vehicle under me", Harvick said. It was my own doing (Sunday).

"I think it'll be corrected next week", Elliott said. The late-race penalty - during a caution period caused by Thursday Thunder alumni Austin Dillon - dropped Harvick out of the top 10. Consequently, a lucky Kurt moved past Elliott and won. They finished 12th and 13th, respectively.

The ensuing drive-thru penalty pushed Kyle Larson to the lead but he couldn't hold off Keselowski, who surged ahead on the backstretch with six laps to go and held on for a 0.564-second victory. Harvick's No.4 Ford was the class of the field.

Keselowski never gave up, working his way back toward the front.

Deutsche Bank to raise $8.5B, reorganize retail in Germany
In another about-face, the lender scrapped plans to sell its Postbank unit, saying it was unable to do so at an acceptable price.

"Everybody stayed focused and nobody had to say anything", Keselowski said. So we know what we had and what they had. "You don't know if you're ever going to win again, but, gosh, it's good to get this win early in the season". I absolutely believe this will be a breakout season for the young driver. With next week starting the West Coast swing the Ford teams look forward to the domination continuing.

"So it was disappointing not to get the win, but I'm happy about our second-place run at a 1.5-mile track where I struggle at", he continued.

If you don't see a Joe Gibbs Racing driver when visiting the NASCAR standings webpage, just keep scrolling down. Winning here five times and has other top 10 finishes. However, cars experiencing a mechanical issue, once repaired, are eligible to return. We had our own issues, and we fought through it all day.

"We had just a little bit of a hiccup that cost us the second spot unfortunately", Elliott said.

Even attempting to sound confident in his team, Hamlin didn't sound convinced.

Re-thinking the Atlanta repave? Sunday will apparently be the last race on the worn-out surface at Atlanta. Heavily target guys that come from a dirt track racing background.

Work on the track will begin after Sunday's race.

"I think we all appreciate tracks with so much character", Johnson said. Although the asphalt is 21 years old and has "too many cracks to fix", drivers love the bumps and the way it chews up tires and makes cars slide in the corners. The aging asphalt surface is bumpy and striped with fix marks.

Third-place finisher Matt Kenseth sped on pit road twice during Sunday's race. The new pavement will be laid over the current surface. "It's very frustrating when we have that down here every single year we've been here". "But all in all, a good day for us".

Tracks are constantly repaved around NASCAR to avoid incidents like what happened at Dover two years ago when a piece of pavement broke off and hit multiple cars. The surface is worn, the track is in bad need of a repave.
