'Baby Driver' Trailer: Edgar Wright Returns with a Thumping Soundtrack

Starring Ansel Elgort as the titular Baby (and yes, he's also a driver), Baby Driver (which has been described as a vehicle chase musical) looks like more of the dazzlingly stylish, whip-smart fare we've come to expect from Wright, whose films Shaun of The Dead and Hot Fuzz are both in the pantheon of contemporary classics. After establishing himself as one of the most exciting up and coming filmmakers with his Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy, which consisted of Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and The World's End - all excellent, by the way - not to mention bringing us the equally as good Scott Pilgrim vs.

As shown by the trailer, Baby Driver seems to be a facetious take on your average crime movie, and it also happens to be musically driven.

In other words, we'll see you on August 11, when Baby Driver storms into theaters. While Baby Driver reviews are just beginning to trickle in, early Twitter reactions have been nothing but positive, with some saying it could be Wright's best film yet.

Everton dominate disappointing West Brom
We've got to start somewhere in terms of turning things around from the last couple of seasons and we've made good progress in doing that.

The vehicle chases in particular look fantastic, and Elgort could very well steal the show in what appears to be a great role for the young actor. All the trailer gives us is Ansel Elgort playing Ryan Gosling playing "Driver" in Drive, Lily James playing Mädchen Amick playing "Shelly Johnson" in Twin Peaks, Kevin Spacey playing "Kevin Spacey" in Kevin Spacey, and both Jamie Foxx and John Hamm playing the fool.

The gist of the film is quite neatly explained in the trailers, so we know we're getting an action/comedy crime flick with a fair amount of vehicle chases and a star-studded cast. It gets genuinely tense and threatening.

A talented, young getaway driver Baby (Ansel Elgort) relies on the beat of his personal soundtrack to be the best in the game. And, as luck would have it, we also get to check out the global trailer here too! He's been coerced into working for a crime boss, played by Kevin Spacey, and is eager to get out from under and escape with his girlfriend, played by Lily James.
