Wenger still evasive on Emirates future

Arsenal face Manchester City in a blockbuster clash at the Emirates on Sunday.

Arsene Wenger's side have dropped to sixth after losing four of their last five top-flight matches, including a 3-1 defeat to West Brom before the worldwide break.

Guardiola, though, will be hoping to extend Arsenal's miserable run to cement City's position in the top four, but is wary of a wounded animal mentality from the Gunners. He wants to win the championship and that is what everybody wants.

"When you lose a lot of games, it's a more risky moment to face them".

"Yes, I understand that (other interpretations), I have not a lot to add".

"Everybody knows them. There's quality in the side, with Alexis [Sanchez] going in ideal runs inside with [Theo] Walcott, [Alex] Oxlade-Chamberlain. Arsenal is a top team".

"It's always hard at the Emirates against a tough team [who are] always fighting to be in the top four". Yes, his form isn't what it was at the start of the season but there's no doubt that Ozil is one of the best players in the team on his day. "Special players are expected to turn up for the big games - I really think the game could be one for Sanchez and Mesut Ozil (if he plays) to produce a performance to remind everyone at Arsenal how good they are and how much we need them".

He stated this week that a decision about his future has been made, but is yet to make it public.

Guardiola, however, says those fans calling for his head will change their tune when Arsenal's form improves.

"For both of us, Arsenal too, it's important these two games", he said. With Giroud finding the back of the net again maybe this is the time for him to lead the line for Arsenal again and find some momentum.

"You can not stay, I don't know how many years Arsene has been in charge of Arsenal, without ability".

The AST also found that 86 per cent of is almost 1,000 members believed the Arsenal board have handled Wenger's future in a manner that is "in the best interests of Arsenal".
