The Teaser Trailer for "Thor: Ragnarok" is an absolute hoot

The Teaser Trailer for

However, the best moment of the trailer comes right at the end, when Thor, the gladiator waits for his giant opponent only to know it is none other than Mark Ruffalo's Hulk himself.

We're still geeking out over the Thor: Ragnarok trailer that Marvel released last week! Trailers for Star Wars: The Force Awakens (112 million) and Captain America: Civil War (94 million) were also top performers on their first days.

However, the superhero flick doesn't hold the all-time record for the most viewed trailer, which is now held by the trailer for New Line's adaptation of Stephen King's It, which was viewed 197 million times in 24 hours. It becomes the studio's most viewed trailer across all brands which includes Disney's live-action and animation divisions, Pixar, Star Wars, as well as Marvel. Chris, 33, sports a modern buzz cut with dark hair instead of Thor's signature shoulder-length blonde locks as seen in previous movies.

The Thor films may be some of Marvel's weaker outings, but that hasn't stopped fans getting very, very excited for Thor: Ragnarok.

A few weeks ago, Warner Bros. and DC Films dropped the "official" trailer for Justice League a few months after showing off the first footage at Comic-Con. "'How did this happen?'" From there, as Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song" takes over, it's clear Marvel is giving us a different kind of superhero movie.

New Zealand-born auteur Taika Waititi ("Hunt for the Wilderpeople"), who is of indigenous Maori and Russian Jewish descent, directed the film. Thor's new direction in Ragnarok, meanwhile, looks wholly new, pushing Guardians's mood even further into wackadoo territory.

"Thor: Ragnarok" airs in cinemas on November 3, 2017.
