Now Image Search can jump-start your search for style

On Thursday, Google announced the launch of "Style Ideas", a new feature that will provide users searching for fashion-related products with "inspirational lifestyle images and outfits that showcase how the product can be worn in real life". What this means in practice is that when Image Search is used to track down a particular product, such as shoes or a bag, Google will show off images with those items paired with different products or displayed in different situations.

Google's Image Search is quite similar to Pinterest, which offers shoppable information attached to an image as well.

The ultimate aim is to attract the users who prefer investigating products on search engines like Google or sites like Pinterest.

This feature utilizes Google's advanced machine learning capabilities to identify the images in feature.
