That includes the unveiling of a brand new bronze statue, which will be permanently displayed outside Dodger Stadium. Not only do you get the engrossing sports memorabilia, but you also get to hear sports legends like former Phillie Bill White and U.S. Olympian Herb Douglas talk about their experience of playing with Jackie and knowing him off the field. "My dad was a humble person". My family watched every movie there was about Jackie Robinson.

Sharon Robinson believes the statue of Jackie will also serve a objective to the community, providing inspiration to others who may want to follow in his footsteps.

"A life is not important", one of the quotes reads, "except in the impact it has on other lives".

On the back reads Robinson's No. 42.

While he would go on to star as a second baseman, Robinson made his debut on Opening Day at first.

The end product is the result of the artist and the Robinsons working with the very unity Jackie embodied.
