India stands totally exposed on issue of terror financing in Pakistan: FO

India has called off bilateral maritime security talks with Pakistan scheduled for April 17, a coastal security source said on Saturday.

The two countries had approved dialogue between PMSA and Indian Coast Guard in a sign that they were looking to break the stalemate caused by the attack a year ago on an Indian army camp in J&K Uri.

Pakistan on Friday said Indian "spy" Kulbhushan Jadhav was sentenced according to the country's laws and that India had not responded to "specific information" sought on him in January.

Jadhav was arrested in March a year ago, "for his involvement in espionage and sabotage activities against Pakistan", according to a statement released by the Pakistan armed forces. Islamabad claims Jadhav to be an Indian spy, a charge categorically rejected by New Delhi.

According to a DNA report, the Union government is planning to sharply reduce or even stop visas for all purposes other than medical and hospitalisation. "Visas in any case are given on a case-to-case basis and the decision to be selective in issuing visas was actually taken after the Uri attack", said a senior Indian official. "So they should send Jadhav back", he said.

Jadhav, 46, was tried through Field General Court Martial (FGCM) under the Pakistan Army Act (PAA) and was awarded the death sentence.

The documents will also contain details of arrests and raids done by Pakistan security agencies on Jadhav's tip-offs. "Kulbhushan Jadhav", Khan tweeted on Wednesday night.

Indian High Commissioner Gautam Bambawale on Friday asked Pakistan to provide a copy of the charge-sheet filed and the judgment given against Yadav while strongly raising this issue. Imran said police finally caught wind of the suspects' activities when somebody reported seeing them with a "suspicious-looking shopping bag" in Abbaspur on the night of September 26. This is an act of premeditated murder, Swaraj further said. It also claimed that he was "a serving officer in the Indian Navy". "Kulbushan was involved in both espionage and terrorist/sabotage activities resulting in the loss of many lives and damage to property", Aziz said.
