Facebook Murder Suspect Shot Himself In Pennsylvania

Police in Philadelphia say they have "no indication" that the suspect in an apparently random killing in Cleveland is in Philadelphia.

The frantic audio tapes were released by ABC News just hours before Facebook murder suspect Steve Stephens took his own life following a pursuit with police.

Stephens supposedly killed Godwin in an attempt to get his mother and girlfriend to get in contact with him.

The video, which has since been deleted along with the entire account, showed Stephens walking up to 74-year-old Robert Godwin on the sidewalk and shooting him in the head.

Brenda Haymon, daughter of Godwin, learned that Stephens had killed himself while planning funeral arrangements for her father. Before the shooting, Stephens demanded that he say "Joy Lane", the name of his ex-girlfriend.

More videos of Stephens surfaced after the killing, where he claimed he had "snapped" and killed 13 people.

By the time he pulled out of the driveway and onto Buffalo Road, state police were behind him, DuCharme said.

"All I can say is that I wish he had gone down in a hail of one hundred bullets", she said.
